03 Apr 2005 - Alfred University, US, is to create a ceramics/nanotechnology research centre following a $10 m donation from ceramics manufacturer Kyocera of Japan. The university says the gift will complement its collaborations with the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering at the University at Albany-SUNY. |

Accelrys has added five members to its nanotechnology consortium.

03 Apr 2005 - Johnson Matthey, Schenectady International, Fraunhofer IFAM, Fraunhofer IZM and the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) join current members such as Corning, Fujitsu, e2v Technologies, Imperial College London and Uppsala University, Sweden. The consortium aims to speed up the development of software tools for designing nanomaterials and devices. |
